Sian Howard-JonesSian read English at Bristol University and was then awarded scholarships to study at Trinity College of Music, Royal Academy of Music and the Vlaamse International Opera Studio.

Opera includes: Michaela in Carmen, Atalanta in Xerxes (Vlaamse Opera Studio); Rose Maybud in Ruddigore (Buxton Festival); Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (Carl Rosa UK and USA Tour); Elena in  Il Capello de Paglia di Firenze (Trinity College Opera); Anna Glawari in Merry Widow, First Lady in Magic Flute, and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (British Youth Opera); Musetta in La Boheme (Dartington International Festival); Pamina in Magic Flute (Surrey Opera); Flora in La Traviata (Garden Opera);  She also appeared in the Chatelet Opera Paris’ production of Treemonisha as well as in Gubbay’s Carmen at the O2 centre.

Theatre includes: My Fair Lady (Bronowski Productions Far East Tour); Sound of Music (Palladium); A Little Night Music (Garrick Theatre).

Sian is the lead vocalist with the Ian Young All Stars Big Band and also performs regularly with her own jazz trio. Supported by the Gerald Finzi Trust, Sian recently premiered her own show Lilly: My Debussy, a musical drama about Debussy’s first wife in London.
